I AM…The Good Shepherd
Sunday May 10, 2020
Sunday May 10, 2020
Probably one of the most comforting “I Am” statements is this one. Jesus the Shepherd. There is something powerful about having Jesus walk with us in life because He knows everything about us so He has the ability to speak into our lives. A shepherd in Jesus day knew their sheep and yet still guided them and brought them to green pastures. We often wonder in our faith and Jesus the good shepherd will lead us back to Himself.

I AM…The Gate
Sunday May 03, 2020
Sunday May 03, 2020
The shepherds would not only protect the sheep, they would also lead the sheep in and out of green pastures. This imagery is used for the common understanding in Jesus day because they would have seen the shepherds moving sheep in and out of the closed in area that would protect the sheep. Jesus can lead us away from the life of self and to a life that is abundant and full.

I AM...The Light
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Sunday Apr 19, 2020
Jesus claimed to be "The Light of the World" at a key moment and at a key location. Which means this..Jesus' light is for all and is to be over all. His light shines in the darkness. He’s the only true light of the world. We cannot confuse darkness for light and light for darkness. Jesus also calls his followers to be the light of the world. We cannot be that light if we allow darkness into our lives.

Sunday Apr 12, 2020
Sunday Apr 12, 2020
This is an intimate moment with Jesus and three close friends. Lazarus has died, his sisters are upset and Jesus speaks these words of resurrection and life. Jesus can and desires to be our resurrection and life. He doesn’t simply want to give us new life, He wants to be our life. He can resurrect our new life no matter how dark and broken we may be. Even when we feel that we cannot go on and life is slipping out of us He says, let me be your new life, let me resurrect you.

There is this daily “strange” encounter a follower of Jesus has with the Word of God. We will talk about why the bible is a critical part of a persons faith process. Psalm 119:9-11 Hidden your word in my heart P119:105&111 Your word is a lamp unto my feet. Its’ not about the knowledge of the word it’s the word penetrating my heart and life. Our lives are formed by Jesus when we get to know Jesus through his life and the bible captures this for us.

Series: We will look at two distinct qualities of faith that seem strange but are necessary if you are going to live as a follower of Jesus. When you realize who’s you are and what your identity in Jesus looks like, everything becomes very strange.
March 15 - Stranger Faith One: There is a daily “strange” encounter with God that a follower of Jesus can have through the Holy Spirit. There is no Christian life apart from the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16, 18 and 25 speaks about guiding, directing and following.

Sunday Mar 08, 2020
Sunday Mar 08, 2020
It would seem that Samson’s life was going to end tragically, but what we see is that God was not done with him yet. He was willing to surrender to God’s plan and God brought about his purpose through Samson. Our past is part of our story but it doesn’t disqualify us from God desire to work in us and through us.
