Samson allowed bitterness and lack of forgives to lay out a path to ruin. He was unwilling to forgive his father in-law which led him to destructive patterns of ruin. He was unwilling to admit he was wrong and his ego destroyed his life. We need to pay close attention to the small things that can lead to ruin. Daily account with God where he has the freedom to point out areas of potential ruin.

From birth Samson was set apart to be a judge for God but he allowed the outward beauty of a woman to catch his eye. It’s very easy to allow the worldly attractions to distract us from the strength God has placed in us. We all have temptations that try to draw us away and sometimes they are attractive.

We are created to be in union with God. When we are open to his presence we begin to see his hand in our daily routines and practices. We can find a strength and power that is offered to those that are open to his presence. Jesus experienced the presence of the father because practice his presence each day in his awareness of his work in his life.

Yes, people will break trust, people will let you down and be selfish and we must learn to forgive so we can be free to move into the future. Jesus said we are to forgive 70 times 7. What did he mean and why was it important to live this way?
