Learning to love your neighbour can be difficult. To be a good neighbour means you have to live with intention, with an awareness of those around you. Under every roof is a story of pain and hurt. Who are your “four”? Who in your neighbourhood are you praying for? Speaker: Ron Baker

That Neighbour - Just Be Yourself
Sunday Jun 17, 2018
Sunday Jun 17, 2018
Fear can be a roadblock to sharing the love of Jesus. We have misconceptions as to what it means to “share”, but what it comes down to is living your life and living out your faith in such a way as to bring an awareness of Jesus to others.

That Neighbour - Slow Down and Learn
Sunday Jun 10, 2018
Sunday Jun 10, 2018
To love your neighbour, you need to make sure that your heart is growing in and leaning on Jesus. We often try to love our neighbours without the heart of Jesus, but if we do not take time to learn from Jesus, then our neighbours simply become projects to us. You are called to love no matter the background or life circumstance of the person you’re loving—and whether they show an interest in Jesus or not.

That Neighbour - Who Is Your Neighbour
Sunday Jun 03, 2018
Sunday Jun 03, 2018
Everyone has THAT neighbour. You know the one. That neighbour who is known for having a perfectly manicured lawn and yelling at local kids to stay away from it. Or that neighbour who leaves their garbage cans out for days, or their recycling strewn across your lawn. Everyone has a story about that neighbour. But what would it be like to be that neighbour for the right reasons? That neighbour you can go to when there’s a struggle and you need someone to talk to. That neighbour you can always borrow tools from, or who steps in to give you a hand with your home reno project. How can we be that neighbour—who cares about and loves those around them—without any strings attached?
Jesus spoke about that neighbour.
This four-part series will be based on Luke 10:25-29, where Jesus answers the greatest command by saying we’re to love God and love others. God has placed you in your neighbourhood for a purpose. Your work has meaning beyond earning a paycheque. That hobby you are passionate about is not actually all about you! We will talk about what it means and what it looks like to truly love those in your community.
This will be a Vision Series to motivate and challenge our church to live out their faith in their neighbourhoods.
Your neighbours are those among whom God has placed you. They could be in your workplace, on your street or where you hang out. The momentum in our lives is often stuck in high speed. We don’t take the time to really see those around us. But God has placed you where you are meant to be His light and love to others. (Block party; hand out the neighbourhood block cards).

Renewed - Focus Forward
Sunday May 27, 2018
Sunday May 27, 2018
The pattern of new thinking will take time. We never really arrive, but instead spend a lifetime leaning forward into this new way of thinking, regularly assessing to make sure we’re on track. When negative thoughts emerge, we need to take them captive and replace them with new thoughts. And over time, we’ll develop new pathways for fresh, healthy thoughts to flow with ease.

Renewed - Your Real Reflection
Sunday May 13, 2018
Sunday May 13, 2018
A critical piece to living a victorious life is understanding how God sees you. If it’s true that we live life through the lens of how the most important person in our life sees us, then what does that say about how we view God? And how does God view us? We will explore our biblical identity as a follower of Jesus.

Renewed - Remove The Trash
Sunday May 06, 2018
Sunday May 06, 2018
Series: One of the core teachings of this passage of scripture is the idea of “transforming our minds”. Society wants to form the way we think; it tells us we won’t be happy without that next new thing or that perfect body or a bigger income. Not only is our society conforming our thinking, but we also each battle our own demons. Many of us struggle daily with fear, insecurity and the guilt of not being “enough”. But when we allow faulty thinking to invade our lives, we cannot grasp the “life to the full” for which God created us. This series will give us the tools to renew how we think so that we can live victorious lives of faith.
Message #1: The main focus of this morning will be geared around surrendering our minds to the work of God. We need to actively assess our thought patterns and begin to detox from the harmful ways we think. Speaker: Ron Baker
